As a proud Wisconsin-based bakery, we celebrate our roots with our Cherry Kringle. We use Montmorency cherries harvested right from our back doorstep in Door County, Wisconsin. These slightly tart cherries create a homegrown dessert that perfectly captures the taste of summer. This pastry is a welcome addition to any family event or festive brunch, making it a wonderful present for anyone who loves dessert. What is a Kringle?
A kringle is a traditional Danish pastry made from rich, buttery dough that is carefully laminated through repeated folding, creating an exceptionally delicate texture. It is shaped into a large oval, filled with ingredients such as fruit or nuts, then baked to a light golden finish.
Each Kringle is crafted using our family’s time-honored recipe and takes three full days to complete. The process begins with carefully laminating layers of delicate pastry dough and rich butter, then folding and rolling it again and again to create 36 light, flaky layers. That slow, meticulous process gives Kringle its signature texture, crisp on the outside, soft and buttery within, creating a pastry that melts effortlessly with every bite.
